This website and blog was created as an online portal for my research and performance project that began in Dublin, Ireland in 2006. Sarabande - The Glenn Gould Project was intended to serve three main purposes. First, it provided me with a means to share my Gould-related archival and scholarly research conducted in Canada (2006-07, 2009-12) with a much wider community of people, both within and outside Ireland, many of whom had never heard of the iconic Canadian musician. Second, it was intended to serve as a platform for my workshops, lecture-recitals, radio documentaries and outreach projects that were geared towards children from disparate socio-economic backgrounds and (musical) cultures. Finally, and most importantly, it allowed me to combine my musical and scholarly pursuits with my passion for animal-welfare and compassionate-living, something that Glenn Gould was also deeply committed to.
